Rich Galen, noting the archaic usage of the word "benighted" in a New York Times editorial, suggests that it's probably a word that's never appeared on Twitter. I'd guess he's right - I wonder what other perfectly good English words have never made the leap to Twitter?

I don't know what benighted means which is probably why I'm more likely to read information on Twitter than from the NYT. Also why Twitter will sell for over a billion dollars and the NYT will continue to bleed cash
I'm sure "Ted Kenedee two benighted by queen" showed up on twitter at some point.

. . . as in "this benighted blog."
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocius is hard to fit into a tweet . . .
